Events lead up to a May 11 open date

LOS ANGELES, CA – Sundance Cinemas today announced the grand opening date of the Sundance Cinemas 608 at the Hilldale Mall in Madison, Wisconsin. On Friday, May 11th, the Sundance Cinemas 608 will be open to the public following three special grand opening events. All benefit events will include a reception, extraordinary entertainment and the Madison premiere of a new release film.
Sunday, May 6, A benefit for the Chazen Art Museum
Monday, May 7, A benefit for The Wisconsin River Alliance
Tuesday, May 8, A benefit for OutReach, the Madison-based LGBT Community Center
Tickets to all events will be available by contacting each organization directly. The Sundance Cinemas 608 will not be selling tickets to the events.

Madison is the first city selected by Sundance Cinemas as a site for its emerging national movie theatre circuit. In San Francisco, the 8 screen Sundance Cinemas Kabuki is undergoing a complete renovation with an opening set for Summer of 2007.

Based in Los Angeles, CA Sundance Cinemas LLC plans to build a multiple facility national theatre circuit. Sundance Cinemas, LLC brings together Robert Redford’s Sundance brand, a recognized name in independent film, with the seasoned specialized theatre management team of Paul Richardson and Bert Manzari. Investment funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management are financing the company.
