Only about 5% of the Chazen Museum's collection is on view in the galleries at any given time. Students or faculty members can make arrangements with an appropriate curator or the museum registrar to view pre-selected objects in art storage. Works on paper are regularly made available for individual study or class discussion in the Print Study Room. Class sessions require prior arrangements with the curator of works on paper.
The museum's extensive records on objects in its collections, as well as reproductions are available by appointment, to students conducting higher levels of research or faculty members through the museum registrar. There is an at-cost charge for reproductions of works of art.
