Mobility Impairment
Both the north and south entrances to the Chazen Museum of Art have ramp approaches from the Murray Street side of the building and power assist doors for visitors with mobility impairments. However, the building's sole elevator is only accessible from the north entrance.

Please note that beginning October 1, 2007 and continuing through February 2008, vehicle access to Murray Street will be closed from University Avenue. Murray Street can be accessed by taking a right turn off University Avenue onto Fitch Court and left through the Pres House parking lot.

Use of the elevator is partially restricted. It is self-operated on and between the lower level and floors one and two. However, for security reasons, the elevator will only operate by security key to or from floors three and four. Anyone wishing to use the elevator for these floors should press the blue assistance-call button located on the wall to the right of the elevator door.

Wheelchair access to classroom 120 and the docent room, which are on the first floor, is only possible from the south entrance.

Two wheelchairs are available at the Chazen Museum and can be reserved in advance.

For more information, or to reserve a wheelchair, contact the museum receptionist.
