Deaf or Hard of Hearing
For an overview of the permanent displays, the Chazen provides a self-guided Audio Tour which focuses on about thirty works of art that typify art historical periods and styles and best represent the museum's holdings. The audio tour, which employs a personal tape player with headphones, lasts about forty minutes and is available from the Museum Shop for a rental fee of $1.00.
For the hard of hearing, a neck-loup coupler, which connects to a personal hearing aid, is available on request, as is a script of the tape in large print. Assisted listening devices are available for all lectures and programs that take place in room L140. The Chazen will provide sign language interpretation for guided tours and other educational programs with three-week advance notice.
For more information or to request sign language interpretation, contact the curator of education.
