Virtual Tour  Second Floor: Mayer Gallery

The 1100 square foot Oscar F. and Louise Greiner Mayer Gallery on the second floor, commonly referred to as the "Mayer Gallery," is used for the presentation of temporary exhibitions of works on paper. These exhibitions are often drawn from the Chazen Museum's permanent collection, and, depending on the size of the individual works of art, comprise between twenty and fifty drawings, prints, or photographs.

On occasion, the Mayer Gallery houses loan exhibitions of works on paper that complement the collection and benefit from the intimacy of the space. These are either organized by Chazen Museum staff or brought in from other institutions. The art shown in the Mayer Gallery can be contemporary or historical. Each exhibition lasts about eight to ten weeks, allowing for four to five exhibitions per year.
