What I do at the Chazen: As Facility Manager, I ensure that the Chazen is a safe home for visitors, staff, and our collection.
When I started: January 22, 2019
On Saturdays you’ll find me: Possibly exploring small town Wisconsin or visiting a county park.
What I love about the Chazen: As a student, I always loved that the Chazen provides a calm place to relax in the middle of a busy campus and a hectic student schedule. I always valued my time here, stopping over between lectures to decompress.
First memory of the Chazen/LVM: While my first memory of the museum was taking classes in the Elvehjem building, I still can’t believe how impressive it feels to walk across the art-filled bridge overlooking Lake Mendota and down the grand staircase into the Chazen lobby.
My hometown: I grew up in Manitowoc, WI but Madison has been my home for nearly a decade.
My favorite artwork at the Chazen: The Fall of Novgorod by Klaudii Vasilievich Lebedev is a piece that I’ve always been drawn to because of the raw emotion that it depicts.
My creative outlet: I love woodworking and dreaming up furniture to add to the list of things I’ll build one day!
