My Hometown: Madison!

What I love about the Chazen: I love how connected the Chazen is to the wider university community. As a student, I frequently visited the Chazen with my classes, and I always left with a new perspective or better understanding of the subjects we were learning about.

My alma mater: UW–Madison for both degrees.

My college major: BA History & History of Science, Certificate in Studio Art, and MA in Library & Information Studies

My favorite artwork at the Chazen: L’Amante by Beth Cavener. That sculpture has kind of creeped me out (in a good way?) for years, and I still haven’t figured out why exactly.

My favorite museum other than the Chazen: I have so many that I can’t decide. Right now it’s a three-way tie between the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

Last job before the Chazen: Metadata specialist for the University of Wisconsin Digital Collections Center and digital collections assistant for the University Archives

First job: Page at the Verona Public Library

My hobby/pastime: I’ve been an Irish dancer since I was 10 years old.

My creative outlet: I started knitting during the pandemic. Though since I’m left-handed, I sometimes need to read patterns backwards or flip charts around. It’s a fun challenge. Beyond that, my art background is in 2D- and 3D-digital animation.
