Hollaender (Oak Ridge, TN);1987, deposited on long-term loan to Elvehjem Museum of Art [now called Chazen Museum of Art]; 1992, bequeathed to Elvehjem Museum of Art [now called Chazen Museum of Art] *Although the object file contains no record of a transaction date, the fact that the Salita gallery hosted a solo exhibit of new work by the artist Novelli in 1957, the same year this painting is dated, offers a plausible timeframe for when the Hollaenders purchased this work.
