Located in the center of the UW campus, the Chazen is free and open to the public. Public parking lots are available nearby, and the Chazen is on several Madison Metro bus routes. We also provide accessible parking stalls. Contact us to learn more.

The Chazen Museum of Art will remain open to campus and to the public during spring semester 2021. For the safety of all, visitors must wear a mask and maintain safe distance from others. See the visitor guide to learn how to visit virtually or in person.

Museum Hours

The Chazen building is open Tuesday–Wednesday, 12–5 p.m. and Thursday–Friday 12–7 p.m. by appointment. Select exhibitions and galleries are on view. The Elvehjem building remains closed until further notice. The website is open 24/7.

Chazen Café Hours

The Chazen Café is open Mon.–Fri., 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Grab-and-go items and retail selections, will be available; you do not need a reservation to visit the café. Please plan to enjoy your café items outside of the building. There are several outdoor benches and tables available near the museum.
