Located in the center of the UW campus, the Chazen is free and open to the public. Public parking lots are available nearby, and the Chazen is on several Madison Metro bus routes. Accessible parking stalls are nearby. Contact us to learn more.

The museum is open:
Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
The website is open 24/7.


Chazen Café Hours

The Chazen Café is open:
Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–4:30 p.m.


Holidays and closures

The museum and café are closed for campus holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day.

The museum and café are closed for annual maintenance Dec. 31, 2021–Jan, 14, 2022.
