This painting depicts a disembodied, mask-like face on the left half of the canvas and a person in a crouching position wearing a conductor’s uniform on the right half. The disembodied face is larger- than-life and appears more robotic than lifelike. The face has bright red lips and empty eyes that seem to glow. The right eye is bright yellow and the left eye is lime green with yellow stripes. Colorful horizontal stripes form the ears. Yellow lines of computer code text, which begin near the top of the canvas and extend to the bottom edge, overlay the face. To the right of the large face is a person with medium-dark skin tone wearing a rusty orange colored conductor’s uniform and cap. The figure faces to the left and crouches on the ground with bent knees and their hands extend down to the ground. The background is solid white at the left side of the canvas, behind the face, and shifts to light orange on the right side of the crouching figure.
