Alice Standish Buell

Alice Standish Buell studied at the Art Students League in New York and primarily worked in Woodstock, Vermont. She served on the board of the Art Students League for six years and was a member and secretary of the Pen + Brush Club, a private club for women artists and writers. She regularly represented rural scenes from around her home. Vermont Landmark was published by Associated American Artists, an organization that marketed fine art to the middle classes through the sale of limited-edition prints by leading artists.
