This print is from a series in which the male characters from the Chinese novel Outlaws of the Marsh (Shuihuzhuan in Chinese, Suikoden in Japanese) are transformed into female characters. The hero Wu Song (Gyoja Busho in Japanese) who crushes a tiger in the novel is appropriately represented by a woman wearing a tiger kimono.
