Jacob van der Ulft

Jacob van der Ulft’s drawing style and choice of subject matter is based on the work of the Dutch draftsman and etcher Jan de Bisschop (1628–71), who was known for his Italianate scenes executed in a wash technique that emphasized the chiaroscuro contrasts of light and shadow. This drawing is signed and dated by the artist in the upper right corner of the sheet.
