Before 1973, probably* acquired in the vicinity of Chiclayo (Peru) by Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm K. Whyte (Milwaukee, WI); October 1973, gifted by Mrs. Malcolm K. Whyte (Milwaukee, WI) to the Elvehjem Art Center. *The general file for this gift collection contains a letter from Mrs. Whyte explaining that the Peruvian pottery she gifted “mostly came from a family living in the vicinity of Chiclayo.”
