Before 1984, possibly sold by the artist, Stokely Webster (Southport, CT)* to D. Frederick Baker (New York, NY); 23 October 1986, gifted by D. Frederick Baker (New York, NY) to the Elvehjem Museum of Art [now called Chazen Museum of Art]. *Although the object file contains no specific record of a transaction , it does contain correspondence between Baker and the artist that affirms some history of dealing personally with one another.
