1967, probably [1] sold by M & C Sestieri (Rome, Italy) to Joseph F. McCrindle (New York, NY); June 2009, gifted from the estate of Joseph F. McCrindle to the Chazen Museum of Art. [1]The general file for the McCrindle collection contains a letter from Sestieri listing a “Small Bassano” among paintings recently purchased from him. Although the letter does not offer enough description to confirm a reference to this object, the letter contains the only mention of Bassano among available purchase records for the collection.
