Geng Xue

Geng Xue’s sketch is from her 2014 film Mr. Sea based on a story from the Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio written by Pu Songling in the late seventeenth century. Geng Xue calls her work “porcelain film” in which the traditional medium of porcelain finds a new luminous language which aptly expresses the cold sensuality of a beloved Chinese horror story.
