Andy Burgess

London-born artist Andy Burgess explores the relationships between modern and mid-century architecture and avant-garde design through painting, printmaking, and collage. With a self-described “Pop Geometry” style, Burgess utilizes clean edges, vibrant hues, and representational styles found in American advertising and graphic design from the 1930s-60s. When Burgess moved from London to Arizona, his fascination with Bauhaus and European modernist architecture expanded to include the American Mid-Century Modern buildings he encountered there.
