Samuel Halpert

Modern artist Samuel Halpert is known for still life subjects, landscapes, and urban cityscapes, typically of New York and Paris. This etching depicts a group of sailboats in St. Tropez, France on the Mediterranean Sea. Halpert began producing prints between 1927-1928 alongside artists of the Downtown Gallery (owned and operated by his wife Edith Gregor Halpert) and the Society of American Printmakers.
