Act VII, Yuranosuke playing blind man's bluff. Yuranosuke, formerly the chief retainer to Hangan, has secretly been organizing the plot to revenge Hangan by killing Moronao. In this scene Yuranosuke is shown diverting suspicion from himself playing blind-man's bluff with courtesans at a teahouse. He is unable to reveal his intent even to his own men, for fear of being overheard. They stand in confusion at the left, uncertain of Yuranosuke's resolve.
