#21 Act VII, Yuranosuke, Okaru, and the spy Kudayu In spite of his feigned indifference, Yuranosuke is deeply involved in organizing the vendetta against Moronao. When he has a moment alone he goes out to the veranda to read a letter from his dead lord's wife which outlines the enemy's defenses in great detail. Okaru, sold into labor as a courtesan at the same teahouse here uses a mirror from the balcony above to read a letter thinking it a love letter. The spy also reads the letter from beneath the veranda.
