Guercino

Guercino was one of the leading painters of the Bolognese school and one of the most accomplished draftsmen of the Italian baroque. This drawing combines subtle effects of light and dark, powerful gestural and facial expressions, and an insight into human psychology, hallmarks of Guercino’s art.
