Mel Kendrick

For his sculptures, Kendrick often starts with a segment of tree trunk, then cuts and reassembles it. These sculptures are sometimes recast in bronze or rubber and paired with the wooden originals. He rearranges the original organic form in ways that allow the viewer to follow the process of its dismantling and reassembly.
