This painting features a vessel sculpted in the form of a head overflowing with large brown seed pods. The highly polished, grey-colored vessel is sculpted to resemble a head similar to an ancient Greek or Roman statue. The face is round and full with small lips, red eyes, and short, straight hair with textured lines. Large, brown honey locust seed pods emerge from a lipped opening at the top of the vessel. Mimicking slithering snakes, the seed pods twist, intertwine, and curl around, taking up much of the space on the canvas. The vessel sits in front of a wall of wood planks with white and green paint that is cracked and chipped away, exposing the wood below. To the right of the vessel is a pocket knife, which is partially obscured by a seed pod. The knife has a worn blade and a black handle with metal accents. Light shines upon the objects, casting shadows to the right upon the wooden backdrop.
