Stitching Workshop with Amanda McCavour
Use machine embroidery and water-soluble stabilizer in a variety of ways to create lace-like structures where stitches holds the piece together. Experiment with combining threads with an assortment of materials like plastics, papers, and yarns to create a variety of samples exploring different texture and color combinations.
Basic sewing skills required. If you can thread and sew a straight (ish) line, this workshop is for you!

Winter Carnival Family Fun in Alumni Park
Bundle up and join Badgers of all ages for an afternoon of family-friendly, winter-themed activities during the annual Winter Carnival Family Fun in Alumni Park. Show off your moves at the outdoor dance party with DJ Mike Carlson. Inside, warm up with winter-themed storytelling, hands-on art activities presented by the Chazen Museum of Art, and complimentary hot cocoa and apple cider!
