Berit Ness
Chief Engagement Officer

What I do at the Chazen: As chief engagement officer, I oversee academic and public engagement, visitor services, and communications at the museum. In collaboration with colleagues across the Chazen’s engagement section, I strive to expand points of access into the museum, advance interdisciplinary partnerships, and tailor the museum experience to the needs of the Chazen’s many audiences.
Insider tips for visitor: Admission is free and the Chazen is open every day! You can stop by to see your favorite artwork on the way to something else or stay for hours.
My hometown: Seattle, Washington
On Saturdays you’ll find me: at the farmer’s market
My hobby/pastime: cooking, traveling, and taking long walks
I always enjoy partnering with new campus and community partners. Please feel free to reach out to my if you would like to brainstorm how to engage your class, organization, project, etc., with the Chazen!
