What I do at the Chazen: I direct the museum’s communications program.
When I started: January 2014
On Saturdays you’ll find me: at the farmer’s market, on the lake, with my dogs, anywhere outside
What I love about the Chazen: It is the living embodiment of the Wisconsin Idea
My alma mater: Carleton College (B.A.) and UNC-Chapel Hill (M.A., graduate school of journalism)
My college major: Studio art: printmaking
My favorite artwork at the Chazen: This changes from time to time, but right now I’m obsessed with Portrait of Lady Caroline Montagu in Byronic Costume
Last job before the Chazen: Director of public relations for a trade association
First job: Cutting mats at Gallery 39, my grandmother’s art gallery and frame shop
Side hustle: teaching puppy kindergarten and all manner of dog training classes
My creative outlet: knitting and spinning
Most unusual job: Director of media relations for the men’s pro billiards tour
