What: Director Amy Gilman will present her annual State of the Museum address via Facebook live. Initial remarks will be followed by a Q&A led by Gianofer Fields, producer in residence at UW–Madison’s School of Human Ecology. After dramatically increasing operating hours in 2019 to become the most open museum among its peers, the Chazen was forced to pivot in 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic changed everything. Gilman will discuss how the Chazen team has adapted, from rethinking the permanent collection to developing new online curriculum. Gilman will also highlight how the museum is evolving to embed the work of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility into daily operations.
