Curator Conversation – Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within with Katherine Alcauskas
Join Katherine Alcauskas, chief curator, for a walk through of the exhibition Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within. Born of Okinawan heritage in Hawai‘i, Takaezu was a groundbreaking American artist most celebrated for her prolific ceramic sculptures that range in scale from palm-sized works to immersive environments. This first nationally touring retrospective on the artist features over 100 of Takaezu’s artworks, including her ceramics, textiles, paintings, installations, and video work.
