Chi-Lynn Lin, PhD student and curator of Echoing Overseas, and Steffani Bennett, UW–Madison assistant professor and Joan B Mirviss Chair in Japanese Art will take a closer look at processes of artistic exchange in pre-modern and modern Asian art. Lin and Bennett will invite the audience to rethink issues of influence, originality, and agency.
